Bluebells ‘Minis’ at Beautiful Blackbury Camp

Grab this very limited opportunity to get some beautiful family photos in a phenomenal setting

Once again, I’m offering a very limited opportunity to get some family pictures in the incredible beauty of Blackbury Camp

The stunning location of Blackbury Camp, where we will host a picnic and informal photoshoot.

When is it?

The planned date is Sunday 27th April (but I’ll hold Saturday 3rd May as a back up in case of inclement weather). It’s an early start to make the most of the morning light and avoid the crowds.

Where is it?

Blackbury Camp Southleigh, Colyton, Devon, EX24 6JE. (what3words ///personal.aliens.sings). If you’ve not been before then you’re in for a treat, it’s absolutely stunning.

What’s the cost?

£50 for the session.

15 minute shoot amongst the bluebells and 6-8 professionally edited digital images, available to download from a private online gallery about a week later.

What do I need to bring?

Yourselves. That’s all! I’m a great believer in the philosophy is that everyone is more comfortable in their regular clothes and comfort will make for more relaxed and natural images, so come along in what you’d normally wear. If you want a bit more advice about what to wear though, check out my blog post on the topic. The golden rule though is comfort and practicality.

Are spaces limited?

Yes, they are! Extremely limited! The last thing I want to do is to spoil the peace and tranquility of this incredible place and so I’m keeping it to 3 spaces. (I also donate 10% of takings to English Heritage to contribute to the upkeep of England’s treasures)

A few things to note:

  1. We are using nature’s beauty for this event and we need to respect it. Therefore, we need to be careful to use the bluebells without destroying them, so please keep to the paths and never step on a flower;

  2. The main paths are buggy friendly but the smaller ones might not be;

  3. Dogs are welcome but will need to remain on a lead as required by the location.

  4. This is nature’s display and it doesn’t like to fit into a diary so there’s a chance that the flowers or weather don’t co-operate. I’ll do all I can to mitigate this but I can’t make any guarantees where nature’s concerned.

This place is truly spectacular and definitely worth a visit.
