Got a big wedding anniversary, milestone birthday or family reunion coming up?

Chances are that it’s a very rare opportunity to get everyone in the wider family together, so isn’t this the perfect opportunity to get professional photos taken, rather than relying on someone to remember to grab a few selfies?

I absolutely love coming along to these events! They can be so much fun…….and quite often a bit chaotic, in a good way. Whether you’ve got a parental wedding anniversary or a big milestone birthday, I can be there for a couple of hours then disappear to leave you all to enjoy the rest of the day.

Just as with my family photography, my philosophy is to keep as low a profile as possible (you don’t want me dominating your day!), but will also take the opportunity to get you all together for what’s probably a very rare group picture (whilst keeping it all dead informal).

How Does it Work?

Let me know where and when you event is and we can plan the best time for me to come along. I tend to recommend a couple of hours on location for a big family gathering. That way, I can make sure I have sufficient time to include everyone but not outstay my welcome. If you’ve got a special meal planned, I usually aim to be there for the 2 hours before, then leave when you sit down (nobody wants a photographer around when they’re eating!).

It’s very common for people to rent a big house to accommodate everyone, and I can come to you so you don’t have to marshal the troops to somewhere else. However, hotels or people’s gardens work just as well. I can travel all over Devon and Cornwall or further afield if you’d like me to, and have visited some incredible houses over the years.

After the shoot, I’ll go away and select the best images then personally edit them and upload them to a viewing gallery. This is private and password protected but you can share it with the family. It’s very likely that nobody will be able to agree on their favourites, so I provide all images as standard so everyone can have their favourites as digital files, without having to negotiate. All you need to do between you is decide which you’d like as enlargements.

What’s the Cost?

There are a lot of variables such as number of guests, location etc with special occasion photography so it’s difficult to put a price on it. However, to give you a sense of how much it could cost, this is a sample package based on a private house within 20 miles of Exeter and 15 guests:

• 2 hours on location with 15 guests of multiple generations;

• Mixture of natural light, candid shots with a selection of group shoots as required;

• Online viewing gallery of roughly 70-100 colour and black & white images to share with friends and family;

• USB stick of all gallery images;

• 10 enlargements of your choice (up to 15x10”)

  Guide Price of £800 (subject to travel distance and number of guests.)
